NATO Crisis Update 3- "Focus on the Balkans"

Leaflets spread outside the American Embassy and other public buildings in Pristina, Kosovo, proclaimed the start of the struggle for “the end of the occupation of Kosovo and its unification with Mother Serbia”.

A pro-Serbian organisation called the SPKLF (Serbian Patriotic Kosovo Liberation Front) claimed responsibility for the action. In its statement, the SPKLF, claimed to be a movement of Serbian Patriots ``sworn to liberate Kosovo and avenge the crimes of NATO against the Serbian People”. Although the Serbian government issued no official statement about the incident, the movement saw great support from the public opinion in Serbia.

The SPKLF claimed to also have a military branch, and they declared that the “stand ready to use all means necessary for the Cause of Freedom ''.
